Amar became a prisoner in his own body and at his house, waiting to be released to meet his friends and resume his normal life, but his sentence remains indefinite.

Doctors at Medicover Cancer Institute, Vizag, Andhra Pradesh, have recommended an Allogenic Bone Marrow Transplant as the only cure. The estimated cost of the treatment is Rs.20,00,000 (Rupees Twenty Lakh Only), an amount far beyond the family’s reach.

Amar’s father, an auto driver, is the sole earner in the family of three. Despite his meagre earnings, he has taken on debts to cover initial medical expenses. His mother, a housewife, spends her days caring for Amar, while his father fights to gather funds for the life-saving treatment.
