I want to see my daughter prosper and be happy, but her joys have been caged by thalassemia.”-

Fathima Niya is a nine-year-old girl who has been confined to the hospital, away from her loving family. She has undergone sessions of chemotherapy, and now can only be saved through Haploidentical Stem Cell Transplant.

Fathima has the misfortune of being diagnosed with thalassemia and has to depend on regular blood transfusions every fifteen days for a lifeline. What started as a mere fever, has turned into a recurring nightmare for her.

According to the doctors at Kerala’s Aster MIMS Hospital (3.1 km from Kozhikode Railway Station), her treatment would cost Rs. 20,00,000/- (Twenty Lakhs Only).

Muhammad Niya, Fathima’s father, is a mere rickshaw driver and lives in a rented house. He is the sole breadwinner in his family of four and has resorted to borrowing from friends for help.
