Fariha, a one-year-eight-months old child, lives with her family in Pune, Maharashtra. She has been diagnosed with Congenital Acyanotic Heart Disease, which causes her occasional fevers and pneumonia. The condition was discovered by the parents when Fariha was six months old, but it is possible that she has been suffering from it ever since birth.

According to the doctors at Maharashtra’s Jehangir Hospital (700m from Pune Railway Station), Fariha needs to undergo surgery would cost Rs.5,21,818/- (Rupees Five Lakh Twenty-One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighteen Only).

Wahiduddin works as a labourer and lives in a rented house with a joint family of eight. He has taken loans to help pay the medical bills, which he is finding difficult to pay back.
