“All our hopes and dreams are also devastated. We are
worried to death about his future. If we don’t get your help now, we won’t be able to see our son
living a fulfilled life in the future. It's already been a few months and we have seen no progress
in his condition so far.”-
It was a typical sunny day in the tiny hamlet of Cherai, Kerala when suddenly four-year-old
Dheeraj fell ill. At first, his parents thought it might be seasonal flu or another viral fever. But
days went by, and Dheeraj got sicker than before. His condition worsened, and his parents had
to admit him to the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences. The doctors there diagnosed little
Dheeraj with severe Aplastic Anemia. It's a condition that occurs when your body stops
producing enough new blood cells. The doctors there proposed an Immuno Suppressive
Therapy, that would cost around Rs 8,00,000/- (Rupees Eight Lakh Only).
Dheeraj’s father, Vishuraj is a daily wage labourer and earns a meagre daily wage. Greeshma,
the mother of Dheeraj, is a daily wage labourer but mostly stays at home due to Dheeraj’s
worsening condition. Dheeraj’s parents have already spent a whopping three lakh rupees on his
diagnosis. They mortgaged their only house and are now living with their in-laws. They have
exhausted all their savings and are struggling to get by each day.

are poor people and don’t have much savings left. Please donate as much as you can
