“When Chrysolite was born, she was unresponsive on the third day and later she got fits twice. It has never been easy for her to grow normally right from her infancy. My wife was severely affected emotionally and she still finds it difficult to see our child struggling with her health.”-

Chrysolite is a 4-year-old daughter of Mr. Giftson Samuel and Ms. D Sunitha of Hyderabad, Telangana. She is a child with special needs. The mother works as a nurse in a hospital to take care of her family of four. When they found the medical condition of their daughter, the father took a step forward to take care of her special needs and so he quit his job. He has been a stay-at-home father since 2021.

Chrysolite had ill health since birth. As a patient of Cerebral Palsy, she has delayed growth and tightness in various parts of her body. When she faced problems in movement in her left hands and legs, the parents consulted the doctor who advised surgery to treat the limb movements. She was taken to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad. The diagnosis of her current problem states Spastic Diaplegiccarebral Palsy with Bilateral Hamstring Contractures. The doctors have proposed Percutaneous Myofascial release of Bilateral Hamstrings with an estimated cost of Rs. 2,25,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs and Twenty Five Thousand only).

The parents collectively work very hard to meet the special needs of their child, Chrysolite. She regularly visits Rehabilitation Center for various therapies to keep up with her growth and development. It includes Speech Therapy, Vision Therapy, Physiotherapy and so on. Such special assistance comes at a cost. The urgent surgery requirement amidst all this has put the parents in a helpless situation. They need your support. Please help them.

But sometimes, it becomes difficult to hold ourselves well, when we see a lack of improvement and an addition of more problems in her growth.
