“Since the time we got married, we harboured dreams of nurturing a family of our own. Those dreams
materialized when my wife became pregnant. Little did we know then, the cruel twist fate had in store
for us!”
Chetravika is a five-year-old little girl who lives with her family in Hyderabad, Telangana. Unfortunately,
her childhood has taken a challenging turn as she battles Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a formidable
foe that has gripped her with fever.
According to doctors at Telangana’s Rainbow Children’s Hospital (9.0 km from Hyderabad Railway
Station), Chetravika needs chemotherapy for the Initial intensive phase of 6 months followed by a
maintenance phase for 2 years. The total cost of the procedure would be Rs. 8, 00,000/- (Rupees Eight
Lakh Only).
Chetravika’s father Vinod Kumar used to work as a supervisor in a reputed farm. However, to take care
of his daughter, he has resigned from his job and taken a temporary job as a driver. His modest income
barely covers the needs of their family of five, including the costs of renting their home. Despite their
tireless efforts, the family has exhausted their savings, sold cherished possessions like gold and family
land, and borrowed from friends and relatives. However, the financial burden remains daunting,
eclipsing their ability to ensure Chetravika receives the care she urgently needs.
In the face of this adversity, a helping hand extended to Chetravika and her family can make all the
difference. Your support, whether through contributions, spreading awareness, or connecting them with
resources, can offer hope and relief in their time of need.
