“Every time I hug my child, I feel like it is the last time I am holding him in my arms. I
have lost countless nights of sleep wondering what the future holds for my son,
Burhanuddin. There are times when I feel like removing this veil of strength that I have
put on for my family and breaking down into tears. His life is in your hands right now,
please save him.”-
Ever the playful child, Burhanuddin’s life completely turned upside down when he was
diagnosed with MS-LCH (Multisystem Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis). MS-LCH is a rare disease that is only found in 3-5 children per million children aged between 0-14. It is a
disease which affects the immune cells that are found in tissues such as the skin.
Doctors at Saifee Hospital, Mumbai have said that he needs to undergo an operation as
soon as possible, but the operation comes with a cost, that his father cannot imagine
even in his wildest dreams.
Burhanuddin’s father, Yusuf has spent Rs 8 lakhs for his son’s treatment, which he
managed by exhausting his savings and selling jewellery. However, he still needs to pay
Rs 3,59,000/- (Rupees Three Lakh Fifty Nine Thousand Only) for his son’s surgery. But
Yusuf has recently lost his job and now works at a garage. His monthly income is
around Rs 10,000, out of which Rs 6,000 is the monthly rent of his house. Which leaves
only around Rs 4,000 to manage the day-to-day expenses to feed his family of five.
Please come to Burhanuddin’s aid and donate as much as you can. Your donations will
bridge the gap between Burhanuddin and his much-needed surgery.
