Premature Babies Of Shakuntla Need Your Help To Survive

“I remember seeing my wife when our little kids were born, she looked so happy. We both dreamt of living happily with our kids ever after. But then, my eyes fell on the doctors, who had a confused look on their faces, my feelings were shattered and a fear grew in me. I was wondering what the reason was. Nothing looked wrong with the babies and yet they didn’t come to congratulate me. I stood there questioning what was happening. In a few minutes, they came out and informed me about our babies’ health. I saw our world collapse as my wife was still recovering from the pain.”-

Mr. Ajay Kumar Yadav (Father)

Mrs. Shakuntla Yadav from Jaipur, Rajasthan went into labor at 7 months into her pregnancy and successfully gave birth to two baby boys. As the delivery commenced, her husband, Mr. Ajay Kumar prayed to God for everything to be alright. But after the delivery, the doctors informed the parents that their newborns are suffering from prematurity and have significantly low birth weight. Confused, the parents asked what it meant and the doctors explained. As they came to understand the stakes, the parents were out of words, they never expected this. Their babies were put on ventilator support for 5 days.

“We are a young couple, and having kids would have completed this little family of ours. If anything happens to our two boys, I don’t know what I would do. There are many things a person has to go through in their life, but no one should have to go through this. Our little boys, who just came into this world, might never get to see it”, the father said, holding back his tears.

The doctors have proposed an NICU stay in about 4 weeks as the babies weigh too less.

“The doctors in Neo Clinic say that the treatment costs Rs. 4,00,000/- separately for both our boys, which adds up to Rs. 8,00,000/-, what am I going to do? I work as a farm laborer along with my father and earn a very minimum amount. It is sometimes difficult to get food home. The women in my family are housewives. I am desperate to save my kids. Please, help me!”- Mr. Ajay (Father)
