Ayat, a one-year-old child, lives with her family in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. She is diagnosed with Spine Bifida with Myelomeningocele, which she has been suffering from since birth. The child has developed urine issues as a consequence of the disease.

According to the doctors at Uttarakhand’s Jeevan Jyoti Hospital (27.7 km from Haridwar Railway Station), Ayat needs to undergo surgery which would cost Rs 5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs Only).

Najakat Ali is the sole breadwinner in Ayat’s family of five. He works as a labourer. He has borrowed heavily from relatives to fund his daughter’s treatment.
