Angel Jojo is the 18-year-old daughter of Mr. George Jojo and Mrs.Bindu Jojo from Kottayam, Kerala. She has an elder brother who was diagnosed with the same spinal disorder as Angel, but due to his parents' hard work, he received the right treatment at the right time. But now, the same disorder, Scoliosis has taken down Angel’s health. It all started when Angel started feeling numbness and pain in her little body and would often cry out in pain.

After she constantly complained about the pain, her parents, who got worried, took her to a local doctor. The doctor asked for an X-ray and referred them to the Medical Trust Hospital, Kochi. At the hospital, the parents were informed about scoliosis, and that only spine surgery was their best option. The parents were shocked and heartbroken; the ground beneath their feet fell through in one sweep. The doctors have advised a Halo gravity traction followed by revision scoliosis surgery, the estimated cost of which is Rs.6,00,000/- (Rupees Six Lakh Only).”- Mr.George Jojo (Father)
