“My dear Akul hasn’t experienced a fun and fulfilling childhood like others. He couldn’t run and play because of his long list of complications. It is like fate has played a cruel joke on him. My poverty has brought me to such a situation that I can only offer him false consolations.”-

Toiling Day and Night as a labourer, Shreejith’s mind continuously wanders off to his ailing son. His son, Akul has a host of health issues, which would bring even the strongest of adults to their knees. But Akul has been strong throughout his issues.

The woes of Akul started as soon as he was born, his development and growth were slow as compared to his peers. He had problems in walking when he was three years old, and slowly he also started experiencing vision issues. Akul has to rely on painful injections every fifteen days, which come at a cost of Rs 5,000.

According to the doctors at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences in Kerala, Akul needs to continue his injections. The total cost of injections required is coming at Rs. 3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lakh Only).

Akul’s mother, Athira has taken loans to fund her son’s treatment. But it hasn’t been enough. The life-saving injections are the only shot Akul has at normal life. Please donate as much as possible for the sake of Akul’s treatment.
