If you visit Akanksha’s house, you can’t help but be amazed by the intelligence and brilliance of the fourteen-year-old child. However, beneath the confident exterior is a girl who is scared for her life. Akanksha has been diagnosed with ‘Complex Heart Disease’, and she has been suffering from it since her birth. Even breathing comes with extreme difficulty.

Akanksha’s parents work as daily wage labourers. So when the doctors at the Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences & Research in Hyderabad said that she would require Supravalvular Aortic Stenosis (SVAS) Repair worth Rupees 5,75,000 lakhs (Rupees Five Lakhs Seventy-Five Thousand Only), it came as a cruel blow to them.

Most of their income goes to putting food on the table for their family of four and their house rent. It is extremely difficult for them to manage such a hefty treatment.
