Aamir Zaman, a 16-year-old boy, lives in Kochi, Kerala. His father, Mr Abdul Jibeesh moved to one of the Middle East countries for work but lost his job there due to COVID-19 lockdown. He has now secured a job that pays him a minimal salary. Aamir's mother, Mrs Shabana is a homemaker; he has a grandfather, a grandmother and a younger brother, Aahil Zayan (10 yrs).

The family owned a house in Trissur, Kerala, but were forced to leave due to unforeseen financial situations. Currently, they live in a rented house near Indira Gandhi Hospital in the Ernakulam region.

Aamir was suffering from migraine-like headaches that became severe in March 2021. A bump appeared on the back of his neck as well. The family took him to a local doctor. Looking at his condition, the doctor suggested to take Aamir to Indira Gandhi Hospital, Ernakulam, Kerala. The check-up at the hospital diagnosed Aamir with T-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The doctors proposed continuous chemotherapy for two years as a part of his treatment. The chemotherapy sessions started in May 2021. The family used their savings for the chemotherapy sessions till now. Unfortunately, their savings have drained. The family is unable to afford further treatment and support their living expenses as well as the younger child's education. The estimated cost of further treatment of Aamir is Rs. 5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs only) Aamir's health will improve only if his treatment continues.
