When a child is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, the fight for survival often depends on something entirely outside their control: whether their family can afford the treatment that could save them. For many underprivileged families, the cost of surgery, medicines or hospitalisation stands between a child and the care they urgently need.
Child Help Foundation (CHF)'s Emergency Medical Support Programme provides financial assistance to critically ill children from underprivileged backgrounds, so that families are not forced to delay or forgo the care their child needs.
