Help Atharv Get the Transplant He Needs to Survive

Just one year old, Atharv Dhanke, the son of Rahul and Ruchita from Shahapur, Thane, is facing a rare and serious condition called Adenosine Deaminase 2 Deficiency. This condition affects his immune system and puts him at constant risk, making even small infections dangerous for him.

For Rahul and Ruchita, the last few months have been filled with worry and helplessness. What started as recurring health issues after Atharv's birth slowly turned into visit after visit to doctors, until they finally learned what their little one was really up against. At home, Atharv's grandparents wait anxiously for the day they can see their grandson healthy and playing around like any other child. Watching their only child go through this has taken a toll on the entire family, who now spend each day hoping and praying for his recovery.

Doctors at MRR Children's Hospital, Thane (about 2.7 kilometers from Thane Railway Station), have advised a Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation as the only way forward for Atharv. The estimated cost of this treatment is Rs. 28,72,750 (Rupees Twenty Eight Lakh Seventy Two Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Only).

Rahul does a private job to manage the family's daily expenses, but with such a modest income, arranging funds for a treatment of this scale is next to impossible. With so much already spent on hospital visits and tests, the family has nothing left to fall back on. Despite the odds, Rahul and Ruchita continue to hold on to hope, believing that with the right support, their little Atharv can beat this and grow up to live a healthy, happy life, surrounded by his family of five.
