The first batch of patients to get treated for Thalassemia Major have arrived in Mumbai, Maharastra from all the way to Bihar. Under the project, Arogya Sadan, the patients will get free treatment for Thalassemia Major. The patients will be treated in some of the most renowned hospitals in Mumbai. The first batch will be treated at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

The objectives of the project are:

The Centre aims to meet the basic needs of beneficiaries, including free food, free transportation, and hygiene facilities for various diseases and disorders affecting paediatric patient and their families.

Free, Safe and Secure Accommodation - Arogya Sadan's primary objective is to provide short-term (95 days - 120 days) free, safe and secure accommodation for patients and families experiencing illnesses and disorders. A safe and secure environment is important. This includes providing a temporary roof over their heads and a place to sleep.

Free Transportation - The centre aims to provide free transportation services to patients who face challenges in accessing medical facilities due to economic limitations. Through the centre, we provide transportation regular visits, related to medical treatment, check-ups and any emergency that may arise. Also, we are providing pick-up and drop-off facilities to the beneficiaries from their arrival and departure point to Arogya Sadan. ( to and fro)
