A Chance for a Healthier Childhood: Anvi’s Story of Hope

Just five months after entering the world, little Anvi from Haridwar, Uttarakhand, is already facing a medical battle no child should have to endure. Diagnosed with Gross Hydrocephalus at birth, her earliest days have been filled with medical examinations, hospital visits, and uncertainty instead of the comfort and joy every infant deserves.

Hydrocephalus is a condition that causes an abnormal build-up of fluid in the brain, and without timely treatment, it can lead to serious complications. Doctors at Sethi Nursing Home, Haridwar, Uttarakhand (5.1km from Haridwar Railway Station), have advised surgery for Gross Hydrocephalus (VP Shunt) to relieve the pressure and give Anvi the opportunity to grow and develop more comfortably. The cost of the surgery is Rs. 4,00,000 (Rupees Four Lakh Only).

Anvi’s father, Rohit, works as a labourer and is the primary source of income for the family of five. Her mother, Seema, is a homemaker who spends every moment caring for her daughter. With limited earnings and growing financial strain, arranging the required treatment has become a tremendous challenge.

Despite her tender age, Anvi continues to fight with remarkable strength. With timely medical care and support, she can have the chance to enjoy the healthy, happy childhood every child deserves.
